Man United could be offered the chance to sign world-class Brazilian star this summer

PSG could offer Neymar to Manchester United

According to the Express, Brazilian superstar Neymar could be offered to Manchester United this summer.

The 28-year-old made the big-money move to Paris from Barcelona in 2017. He has since notched up impressive numbers by scoring 69 goals and 39 assists in 80 games. The Brazilian has however failed to propel the club to European glory.

According to the report, the player has an agreement with the club that they will not stand in his way if he chooses to move elsewhere, provided the player keeps his end of the bargain on the pitch and PSG get a sizable financial package in return.

It can be argued that the Brazilian’s numbers on the pitch have been sensational. But he has missed as many games as he has played for PSG.

The player is determined to move away and PSG could give him just that. Both Barcelona and Real Madrid are in no position to pay over the odds, ruling them out of a potential move this summer.

This could see the French giants offer their star to Manchester United and Manchester City. Incidentally, Neymar was also offered to us last summer. United rejected the chance and chose to make do with what they had.

A year later, that sentiment is not likely to have changed. The club has gone from strength to strength and are now a serious threat to the top four.

Neymar is a brilliant player, but he has not hit the heights expected of him. Moreover, he is a larger-than-life personality who is not exactly the ideal role model. With a young squad at our disposal, we will do well to keep such detrimental influences out.

Even Brazil have played better as a team without the Brazilian, as evident from their Copa America triumph last summer. It is ironic that the Selecao broke their drought with the golden boy not among the ranks.

United are in a position to push on and challenge the top teams once again. We do not need a player at the club who can take more than what he can give.
