Manchester United do need to improve their strike-force in the summer transfer window. Last year, the opted to sell Romelu Lukaku and the striker has not been replaced at Old Trafford as yet.

So, a proven quality goal scorer should be lured. The question is, should Man United move to lure Gomez?

In the 2018-19 campaign, the 17-capped international scored 13 goals in 36 games for Celta Vigo. On the other hand, last season, the 24-year-old forward found the net 10 times in 43 appearances for Valencia.

So, the stats do not seem good enough. Moreover, his valuation is very high as well. Cadena Ser report that Gomez’s current contract has a release clause 140 million euros and the Mestalla outfit would want a minimum of 60 million euros (£53.7million) to sell him.
