Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watze insists Jadon Sancho has given no intension that he wants to leave and is confident the winger will still be at the club next campaign as nobody will be able to match their hefty valuation.

Man United boss has reportedly identified England international as his top attacking target this summer and the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the forward.

However, Bundesliga giants are demanding in excess of £100m for Sancho which could prove a stumbling block for interested teams given the financial uncertainty across world football caused by the covid-19 pandemic.

Man United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has warned supporters that it may not be ‘business as usual’ for the club in the summer transfer window due to the economic repercussions of the covid crisis.

Asked about the speculation surrounding the 20-year-old winger, Borussia Dortmund chief Watze told Sport1: ‘If Jadon comes up to us and says he absolutely wants to leave which has not been the case so far and a club wants to pay what we want, then we will discuss it.’

‘I don’t think a club will pay the sum. There is also no coronavirus discount on him. ‘We have left the period where we had to sell players. I don’t think there will be a summer transfer.’

Red Devils manager played down rumours suggesting that the English winger could be set for a switch to Theatre of Dreams when asked about Red Devils chances of signing the forward last week. The Norwegian tactician also urged Red Devils supporters to lower their expectations about possible new arrivals ahead of the 2020/21 season.
