The Red Devils will have to pay nearly £40m to land Bournemouth winger avid Brooks this summer. The 23-year-old winger has been identified as a cheaper alternative to Jadon Sancho, as Borussia Dortmund are unwilling to sell for lower than their £108m valuation of England international.

Red Devils signed Daniel James on Ryan Giggs’ recommendation last summer after the ex-Swansea star impressed the Welshman on international duty. David has been similarly fantastic but the forward boasts two years of the PL experience following his £13m move from Sheffield United in 2018.

The Cherries’ relegation means there’s going to be an exodus on the south coast this summer and Nathan Ake has already joined Man City for £41m, while Aaron Ramsdale seems ready to join Sheffield United.

However, any hopes that Red Devils had of completing a cut-price deal for David have been dashed as Bournemouth want at least £40m for the forward. The Welsh forward is a boyhood Man United fan and is desperate to remain in the PL, despite feeling a sense of loyalty to the club for the gamble they took on him.

The 23-year-old winger was fantastic during his debut season with Bournemouth, scoring seven times and assisting five goals in his first campaign, however, he suffered a bad ankle injury the last term which limited his chances as Eddie Howe’s side suffered relegation.

However, it’s claimed that if the Red Devils can reach a settlement with Jadon Sancho and his representatives, then the club are confident of agreeing on a fee with Bundesliga giants. Wales international is a boyhood Red Devils supporter and is desperate to stay in the PL following the Cherries’ relegation.
