Man United have been linked with a potential swoop for Sami Khedira amid negotiation that he could be set to leave Juventus on a free transfer this summer.
Germany international boasts a huge amount of experience at the top level for both club and country, winning many titles at Real Madrid and Juventus while also lifting the World Cup with Germany in 2014.
After joining the Bianconeri in 2015, Sami has gone on to play 144 games for the Old Lady, but it appears as though his time with the Italian club could be coming to an end.
Serie A giants could look to mutually agree to terminate Khedira’s deal, as they did with fellow midfielder Blaise Matuidi earlier this summer, to see the midfielder leave Italy on a free transfer.
Further, it’s added that Red Devils could be interested and would swoop in that situation as they have been linked with an interest in the 33-year-old midfielder recently, and it could be a sensible signing to add quality and depth to the Norwegian manager’s midfield.
That said, the German midfielder has struggled with injuries and form in more recently, and so given his wages, it would perhaps still be an expensive gamble on a footballer who has arguably had his best days already.
Time will tell if firstly he leaves the Bianconeri in the coming weeks, and if so, whether or not Red Devils are one of the sides in the mix to snap him up as they look to add more quality in order to compete on many fronts moving forward.
