Aston Villa wonderkid Carney Chukwuemeka allegedly has interest from a number of Europe’s elite, including Premier League heavyweights Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.
The 17-year-old playmaker is widely considered one of the brightest prospects in the country at the moment, and many teams are now circling for the Englishman’s signature.
According to The Times, five of the continent’s biggest clubs are vying for Carney’s services, with Juventus and Bayern Munich joining those potential buyers from England.
He has enjoyed a quick progression through Aston Villa ranks and has been training with the senior team since last summer.
But in a huge blow to the youngster, he could not showcase his ability in the third round of the FA Cup versus Liverpool after Carney was part of the first-team group that was forced into isolation following the coronavirus outbreak among the squad.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s outfit have been keeping tabs on his development for over a year now.
United are looking to snap up the teenager up with fellow youngsters Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo – also tipped for very bright futures.
He has been tipped to get a taste of PL action soon and in October last year, penned a three-year contract at the Villa Park outfit when he turned 17.
The Villa’s CEO – Christian Purslow – described the England youth international as the best in England at his age last year.
And the Red Devils, Bianconeri, the Reds, Die Roten and the Citizens are waiting in the wings if Carney can be tempted for an early transfer away to one of Europe’s best.
