Manchester United to bid for Jadon Sancho if they qualify for UCL

According to the German publication Bild (h/t Express), Manchester United are set to increase their bid for Jadon Sancho provided they successfully qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

The Red Devils were backed to cap their bid at £50million. But now it appears that Ed Woodward is ready to meet Borussia Dortmund’s £109m asking price if we return to Europe’s top table.

The club could have taken a massive step towards that had we seen out the match against Southampton. Michael Obafemi’s late equalizer ensured we stayed in fifth, behind Leicester City on goal difference.

It can be argued that we still have our destiny in our own hands. With us set to visit the Foxes on the last day of the season, it has all the signs of a knockout.

Adding Sancho to the roster will further enhance a United attack that has rediscovered the playbook of old. The Red Devils front three has been insatiable and will only get deadlier with the addition of Sancho.

The 20-year-old is also keen on returning to England, three years after leaving Manchester City.

Despite Mason Greenwood developing into potentially something special, United legend Gary Neville has urged the club to not sidestep on Sancho.

We have to continue to keep building despite our strengths, in order to sustain an era of dominance. In Ole Gunnar Solskajer, we have someone who has seen that first hand as a player. It is time now that he replicates it as a manager.
