The futures of Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard hang in the balance at Manchester United.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer axed the pair in the games leading up to football’s lockout.

The boss believed they needed a break after their performances were heavily scrutinised and Manchester United supporters jumped on their backs.

Now Ole could be prepared to listen to offers for the pair as he formulates his plans for the future.

In the six matches, before coronavirus shut down football, England international started once – in the FA Cup win against Derby.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old South American Andreas Pereira made just substitute appearances.

They weren’t even in the squad for United’s most impressive showings in that period, the 2-0 derby victory over City and 3-0 defeat of Watford.

The 27-year-old Jesse has had to deal with family problems off the pitch and both Pereira and Lingard were getting increased stick from supporters.

The Brazilian has a deal until the summer of 2023, with the option of another year. Meanwhile, Englishman’s contract could run until June 2022.
