Manchester United continue to be linked with England international Jadon Sancho and the transfer saga has literally dragged on for far to long to frustrate the supporters.

Few days back, we covered a story (via Mirror Sport) claiming that the Red Devils are prepared to sell five players in order to fund the signing of the Dortmund star.

More recently, Sky Sports News have revealed that the Old Trafford club will not pay over £50million to sign the 20-year-old who is valued over £100million by the German Bundesliga side.

Even after that big a difference in valuation, the renowned British source state that Man United remain strong favorites to agree a deal to sign the Three Lions attacker. They believe that his price tag should be lowered because Dortmund expect heavy losses due to the ongoing pandemic.

Perhaps the 20-time English champions are optimistic because the player himself wants to leave BvB this summer. His current contract will expire in 2022 and as per Mirror Sport, he earns £170,000-a-week.

Earlier this month, the Sunday World revealed that Sancho’s heart is set on agreeing a move to Man United.

Sky Germany’s transfer expert Max Bielefeld has confirmed that the former Man City player is intent on leaving the Bundesliga club and is not interested in signing a new contract with them (via The Express):

“His change request for this summer is still intact. A possible contract extension to a better salary is also not an issue for the winger. That was excluded from the Sancho side.”

This term, the young right winger directly contributed in 40 goals in all competitions under Lucien Favre. On the other hand, United’s first choice right winger, Daniel James, has so far directly contributed in 11 goals (4 goals and 7 assists).

Would Man Utd be able to finally agree a deal to sign Jadon Sancho? Only time will tell.
