Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning a big-money bid to secure services of Manchester United versatile midifelder Jesse Lingard.
With Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale have joined the Spurs from Real Madrid on Saturday, it was believed that Jose Mourinho’s side may not make any further additions before the end of the current transfer window.
However, according to the Daily Star, Mourinho is open to a reunion with one of his favourite players Jesse Lingard, with whom he worked at Old Trafford.
As a result of the England international falling down the pecking order at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side, the Red Devils have no intention of extending the 27-year-old’s current deal that will expire in the next summer.
Despite being able to secure the services of Jess Lingard on a free transfer in July, the North London club are allegedly contemplating whether to spend £30m on the player in the coming weeks.
Jessie Lingard did not feature in the Red Devils 18-man squad as they succumbed to a 3-1 loss against Crystal Palace on Saturday evening and it seems likely to see him departing from Old Trafford especially after the arrival of Donny van de Beek.
