Manchester United misfit Timothy Fosu-Mensah could allegedly be set to leave the Old Trafford club in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old defender is about to enter the final six months of his United deal and can begin negotiating with other sides this month.

Fosu-Mensah started in his side’s opening day defeat to Crystal Palace in the English top-flight, but he hasn’t played a single minute of Premier League football since.

With the right-back’s deal set to run out in the summer, Football Insider claims that Marseille and Hertha Berlin are both keeping a close eye on developments surrounding his long-term future.

The report also adds that United have tabled a fresh three-and-a-half year contract offer for the player, but he’s still weighing up his options after struggling to make the Norwegian head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s roster on numerous occasions this term.

As well as starting in September’s league defeat to Palace, Timothy has made substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League against RB Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir this term.

Elsewhere, Manchester United target Jadon Sancho is expected to depart Borussia Dortmund next summer, Fabrizio Romano claims.

He told Que Golazo Podcast : “Next summer I expect Jadon Sancho to leave the club. Yes, he was really one step away from leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer, Manchester United were really close to signing him for €100m.”

BVB are not willing to entertain a mid-season sale which means Jadon will remain put for now.
