Atletico Madrid centre-half Stefan Savic is one of the stars Manchester United are tracking ahead of the summer transfer market, when they want to bring at least one centre-half, according to Norwegian journalist Jonas Giaever.

The Red Devils are preparing for the summer transfer market and are especially looking to land a centre-back to potentially partner Harry Maguire.

A number of stars across Europe have been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford as the Old Trafford outfit continue to compile a shortlist of targets.

The Premier League side are also looking at more experienced players apart from young talented centre-halves in Germany and Spain.

And it has been stated Savic is one of the players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team are looking as part of their transfer plans.

A former Manchester City star, Savic left Manchester United’s city rivals back in 2012 for Fiorentina before signing for Atletico Madrid three years later.

The 30-year-old Montenegrin is an integral part of Los Rojiblancos’ squad and has been the main reason behind their defensive robustness.

He has a contract until 2023 with the Madrid giants and the management is expected to put up a fight in order to keep the player at the club.

Meantime, Manchester United and Wales star Dylan Levitt is closing in on a shock loan move to NK Istra in Croatia, the PA news agency understands.

Having made his first-team debut in last season’s Europa League match against Astana in Kazakhstan, the 20-year-old academy product has gone onto win five senior international caps.

Dylan started the campaign with League One outfit Charlton but the Red Devils cut the loan short, activating their recall clause in January after Levitt was restricted to just five appearances.
