Serie A champions Juventus are reportedly preparing to battle Real Madrid for the services of Rennes midfield star Eduardo Camavinga.

The 17-year-old enjoyed an excellent 2019-20 campaign for his French team, founding back of the net once and providing two assists in 36 games in all competitions, and he was widely expected to make a switch to La Liga giants, Madrid over the summer.

The financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak meant that Zinedine Zidane’s side could not afford to secure the services of the France international, however,  a recent report suggested that the Los Blancos were confident of finalising a deal for the talented midfielder during next summer’s transfer window.

Camavinga, who scored his first goal for France against Ukraine on October 7, is also still believed to be determined to make a move to the Bernabeu despite interest from Manchester United.

However, according to Tuttosport, Serie A champions are preparing to make a ‘serious play’ for the starlet, with Old Lady head-coach Andrea Pirlo determined to bring him to Turin next year.

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are also believed to be keeping a close eye on the progress surrounding the midfielder.
