Manchester United have been linked with Benoit Badiashile for over two years and if reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils are very keen to finally sign the youngster.
According to Foot Mercato, the Old Trafford outfit have been interested in the central defender since 2018 and they are still closely following him.
The renowned French source have stated that the 20 time English champions are looking to strengthen their back-line and they have a chance to sign the 19-year-old boy from Monaco.
FM further state that the PL giants do face competition. They claim that even Bayer Leverkusen are very interested in luring the teenage starlet, who is valued at 30 million euros (£27million) by the French side.
In the 2019-20 season, Badiashile regularly started in the Ligue 1 in the first half of the campaign, however, from December 2019 to March 2020, he could only make five appearances and spent majority of his time warming the bench (Transfermarkt).
Overall, the teenage starlet has already made 46 appearances for Monaco, scored one goal and also provided an assist.
Old Trafford legend Roy Keane launched an attack recently and claimed that the club do not have a strong back-line (The Mail). Do you agree with the former skipper? He bashed the likes of De Gea, Maguire and Shaw after the game vs Spurs.
Manchester United have conceded 31 goals in as many league games this season. In the last campaign, at this stage, the club had already let in 40 goals. So, things have improved at the back after signing Maguire and Wan-Bissaka but there is always room for more improvement.
In your view, should Solskjaer move to sign a defender in the summer transfer window? Should Man Utd splash £27million to lure Benoit Badiashile?
