Manchester United have pinpointed Dominic Calvert-Lewin as an alternative for number one transfer target Erling Haaland after friction with the latter’s entourage, Mino Raiola, according to a recent report from The Athletic.

Erling has been on the radars of the Red Devils for some time now. The club were beaten to his signing by Borussia Dortmund earlier this year but have continued to keep tabs on him who has taken the Bundesliga by storm.

However, they could now be forced to turn their focus elsewhere after the board’s relationship with his agent, Mino Raiola, hit a new low following his comments on the situation of the midfielder Paul Pogba, on the eve of their crucial UCL game against RB Leipzig.

Considering how things are currently, this has reportedly affected the English giants’ chances of landing Haaland, who is also understood to be on the transfer shortlist of fellow Premier League side, Chelsea.

And, as a result, the Old Trafford outfit are shifting their focus towards Everton attacker Calvert-Lewin.

Having bagged 15 goals in 41 matches in all competitions last term, Dominic has stepped it up a notch in the ongoing campaign, scoring 14 goals in just 16 appearances already.

Manchester United had made an enquiry for him in the summer, as per a report from The Sun, but were quoted a hafty price of £80m, which made them back down.

However, with a move for the Norwegian becoming difficult now, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are set to turn their attention towards the Toffees star.
