Manchester United are linked with numerous top quality players but the latest reports suggest that they are close to signing a talented younsgter.
According to AS, Man United have agreed a four year contract to sign Alvaro Fernandez Carreras, who decided to leave Real Madrid after the expiry of his contract on 30th June.
The famous Spanish outlet have mentioned that the Los Blancos wanted to sign a new contract with the 17-year-old but he preferred to join the Red Devils.
The teenage defender took to social media to announce his departure from the Spanish giants. Fernandez wrote on his Instagram account:
“I have made the decision to leave this great club, I wanted to thank all my teammates, and the entire coaching staff at Real Madrid for making me a better person and footballer.”
“It has been a real pleasure to wear this shirt, and represent this shield, it is time to say farewell and take another path in my football career, take a step forward towards my dream. Thank you Real Madrid!”
Not much is known about Fernandez but the fact that several European giants have been after him indicates that he is a talented boy.
AS claim that before moving to the Bernabeu outfit, even Catalan giants Barcelona were interested in signing the left wing back.
At Old Trafford, Luke Shaw is our first choice left back and young Williams is the second choice. The duo have done well for us in the back-line, so, if Fernandez does end up moving to Man United, he would likely have to start in the youth teams and perform well to get promoted.
