Manchester United and Arsenal are among the clubs in the running to sign James Rodriguez from Real Madrid in the next transfer window.
Rodriguez has endured a tough season with Los Blancos and he has been restricted to only 14 appearances across all competitions.
Injuries have played a role in the reduced playing time but since the restart, he has found himself on the bench as an unused substitute on multiple occasions.
Of late, he was absent from the squad for the 1-0 win at Athletic Bilbao and speaking after the game, Zinedine Zidane confirmed that the forward asked to be left out.
According to The Mail, United and Gunners will have taken note of the situation and they could come up with possible bids to sign the Colombian this summer.
Rodriguez has under 12 months remaining on his contract with Los Blancos and reports in Spain claim that he could be available for a reduced fee of around £22m.
Rodriguez’s father recently revealed that the forward wanted to join cross-town rivals Atletico Madrid last summer, but the move was blocked by Los Blancos.
