MANCHESTER UNITED broke Brighton hearts in Fergie time as Bruno Fernandes netted a 99th minute penalty.
The Seagulls thought they had earned a point when Solly March equalised in the 95th minute before Fernandes struck.
Earlier on, the Portuguese star conceded a penalty which Neil Maupay converted to put the hosts in front.
But Harry Maguire equalised before a brilliant Marcus Rashford goal put the Red Devils ahead.
It was an unbelievable goal by Rashford with the United forward showing pure class to chop in from the left flank before dancing around Brighton’s defence.
He comes back onto his left foot to strike the ball home as United move in front.
Speaking after the game, Bruno Fernandes said: “We were not as aggressive as I wanted and we gave away two goals, I could have done much better to have not given away the penalty.
“The first penalty I think the contact comes more from him than me, but he was smart and I need to do better.
“We need to believe in ourselves to the end. We now need to look forward to do better against Brighton when we play them again.
“Brighton did very well today, maybe because we were not aggressive- we need to recover balls better and press better.
“They did have a lot of chances, but the point is to score goals not to hit the crossbar. “
