Colombia midfielder Nicolas Benedetti has told his Instagram followers he dreams of joining Manchester United.
United have been in the transfer headlines for weeks now as there is constant reports linking the club with every player on the market, and some players that have not come onto the transfer market just yet.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to improve the side in key areas of the pitch and all indications suggest that he will get the £200 million it will roughly take him to improve the side when the transfer window opens up.
But it seems that Benedetti is hoping that he is a man that United look at, as he has opened up and announced that he has a dream to make a move to Old Trafford and play for his beloved United.
The 22-year-old, capped once two years ago, is shining for top-flight Mexican side America after leaving home country team Deportivo Calie in January 2019, and he used social media to pledge he will battle hard to land a big move to Europe.
Gol Caracol revealed he posted: “I have many clubs that I have always dreamed of, like Manchester United when I was little.
“Now I have dreamed of playing for Barcelona. That is work and sacrifice, but you have to dream big.”
Look, Benedetti may be impressing where he is right now, but United are at that stage where they need big time players that will help them get back challenging for titles and playing in that Champion League, so he is simply not good enough.
It is a shame to say, but it is true and he would only be signed if United were desperate and needed to just add some strength in depth to the side.
