Manchester United target Ilaix Moriba could quit Barcelona this summer’s transfer window with the cub currently reluctant to meet his new contract demands.

He has been with the Catalan heavyweights since he was seven years old, progressing through the side’s La Masia academy and now considered as one of Barca’s brightest talents.

Handed a senior team role by Ronald Koeman in January, the 18-year-old went onto make 14 La Liga appearances last campaign while also attracting interest from clubs somewhere else in Europe.

Mundo Deportivo reported a couple of months ago several clubs were keen to prise the player away from the Camp Nou, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side making a ‘firm offer’ to sign the teenager.

Ilaix has recently ended his relationship with Stellar Group to switch to the German agency Rogon, who are now representing Moriba in contract negotiations with his current contract set to expire in June 2022.

RAC1 report however the Catalans are not impressed with the high demands of the Red Devils-linked player’s new representatives.

Considering the club’s perilous financial situation, the board have made it clear they won’t agree to terms currently on the table.

The report adds if Ilaix does not lower his demands, the club could be ready to let him leave this summer.
