After a bore-draw in the derby, the Red Devils have to go out there tomorrow night and back it up with a victory. Ahead of the game, it’s time for our predicted Man Utd XI vs Sheffield Utd…

For Manchester United the situation hasn’t changed. Win our game in hand and we’re just two points off top spot. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has never had an issue when it comes to playing well against the big-boys. However, it’s games like these that were our major stumbling block last term.

Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United may well be bottom of the table but you can bet your life upon the fact they’ll turn up and play like world-beaters tomorrow. It’s up to the Baby Faced Assassin to get his squad both mentally and physically ready.

We cannot afford to start this one slowly either. The good news is we’ve had five days’ rest for this one, meaning we should be feeling fit, fresh and ready to play.

terms of team news, Solskjaer should have practically a fully fit squad to choose from, assuming Edinson Cavani is now feeling well enough to be involved. Anyway, let’s get right into it.

Predicted Man Utd XI vs Sheffield Utd in full:

It seems fitting that Dean Henderson should play here, returning to Bramall Lane; a ground that gave him so much joy over the last couple of seasons prior to this one.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka remains the only logical choice at right-back, hence the mounting interest in Kieran Trippier. Alex Telles will play over on the left-hand side of the back four. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will continue to play at the heart of our defence.

Nemanja Matic will play in the defensive-midfield role, giving Scott McTominay a rest. Donny van de Beek has to come into the side, with his intricate passing and moving in tight spaces going to be key here. Bruno Fernandes obviously starts.

Anthony Martial is desperate for a goal and this is a big moment for him. Marcus Rashford will continue to start off the left flank, with Mason Greenwood over on the right.

Paul Pogba, Fred, Edinson Cavani and others will be on the bench if Solskjaer needs them. However, I’m hoping this game is all wrapped up at the hour mark and the gaffer can make some luxury substitutions rather than having to call upon the big guns.
