Rumours surrounding Manchester United are thick, fast and in abundance. The Red Devils are expected to bring a center-back as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants competition amongst Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly.
Chris Smalling is set to move to AS Roma too. Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo are hardly competent to make OGS’ XI.
Last month, the Red Devils were linked to Kalidou Koulibaly.
Napoli President De Laurentiis has been clear about the fact that they are ready to sell Koulibaly and only PSG, United and City have the financial muscle to sign the Sengalese defender.
However, Fabrizio Romano confirmed earlier this week that Manchester City are very close to joining Manchester City.
Premier League legend Ian Wright wants United to sign Koulibaly.
He told [via Daily Star]: “From the defensive point of view, I just feel that they are still very week. We’re hearing that Manchester City might get Koulibaly – United have got to go in there to try and do that deal”
He added: “If you look at them from left-back, yes we know Wan-Bissaka is a fantastic right-back and a great defender. But Lindelof and even Harry Maguire – from the left side they’re there for the taking. If you’re gonna go and challenge those teams, that needs to be a lot stronger.”
