As Portuguese newspaper Record features a piece on the Benfica stars who are wanted by European sides, they give striker Darwin Nunez a mention.

The striker has been having an impressive campaign with As Aguias, and that is why he has been linked to several big clubs, with Manchester United’s chase being underlined this week.

What the outlet has to say about the 22-year-old player now is that his market value is going up, as the Primeira Liga giants no longer rate the attacker as they used to in the winter window, especially with teams like Ralf Rangnick’s side and Manchester City taking a keen interest.

It’s said As Aguias, who turned down a proposal worth €50 million from David Moyes’ West Ham in January, used to demand €60 million for the sale. Now, even that fee will be insufficient for the goal poacher.

The Red Devils’ interest in the highly-rated Uruguay international is also mentioned by an Italian outlet Calciomercato.it as well.

The website point out the forward’s similarities to his fellow countryman Edinson Cavani, who coincidentally, is set to depart the Old Trafford outfit at the end of his deal this summer.
