Los Blancos are reportedly eyeing up a shock addition in the form of Red Devils right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The former Crystal Palace right-back, who only joined Man United last summer, has been targeted by Real Madrid as a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal.

The Spanish outlet state that Real Madrid are ready to welcome Aaron with open arms, suggesting they’re hopeful of getting a deal done, with the footballer himself also said to be “delighted” with the prospect of a move to Spain.

Aaron has impressed at Man United, but many would be surprised to see him move on after only one campaign, especially as Real tend to target more proven footballers and bigger, more glamorous names. Aaron lacks the attacking threat of a modern full-back so his excellent defensive traits would be better served by a move into the middle.

Real Madrid are famed for their Galactico purchases, and the English defender doesn’t really fit that bill, despite his impressive form for Red Devils this term. It could be a blow for Man United to lose Wan-Bissaka, who surely has a bright future at the club based on the huge potential he’s shown so far.

Man United, meanwhile, battled their way to a huge win at Crystal Palace that keeps their top-four hopes alive going into the final two rounds of the campaign.

Although undoubtedly an exceptional right-back the best in the league in his position, in fact, Aaron continues to lack the agility, quickness of thought, or technical ability that the Norwegian manager wants from his full-backs.
