There has been a recent trend of English players plying their trades to Germany, and the most recent name that adds to the list is Jude Bellingham.

Jude Bellingham, the Birmingham midfielder has had a terrific season with the Championship outfit. Only 16, the youngster has been a pivotal part of their squad and there were interests from Manchester United for the player. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is open to add to his midfield and was keen to bring the player at Old Trafford. But it seems their quests have taken a hit, as Bellingham has decided to move to Germany.

Reports in Germany claim that the player has joined Borussia Dortmund. Christian Falk, a renowned German reporter has said that the Birmingham player will be moving to Dortmund, and most of the time, his sayings are authentic.

He has featured 38 times for the Blues so far and his decision to join Borussia Dortmund will be a blow to the Red Devils. But perhaps the player has chosen it because he will be getting more opportunities with the Bundesliga outfit.

Given Bruno Fernandes and Pogba, along with the likes of Matic, Fred, McTominay in United midfield, his chances would have been limited at Old Trafford. He has followed the path of Jadon Sancho, who joined the German club in 2017 from Man City academy.

Reports say the player has penned a five-year-long deal with Dortmund, and will pay £21 million to Birmingham for the player. Also, he is set to earn as much as £60,000 per week with them, a staggering rise from the mere £145 per week he earns now.

An announcement from the Bundesliga runners up is expected shortly, in what would be another blow to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a matter of days.
