Manchester United are interested in landing Marcelo Brozovic from the Serie A giants Inter Milan, a report says.
The club have recently sold the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku to the Nerazzurri and now want the Croatian star from the Nerazzurri to improve their midfield department.
According to Inter Live, the Red Devils consider making a concrete move to secure the services of the 28-year-old midfielder, who has been in top form for his side under the management of Antonio Conte.
The Italian outlet have mentioned that United could offer €32 million plus Alex Telles, rated at €20 million (deal worth £45 million), to sign Marcelo.
Alex joined the Old Trafford side to provide cover for the England international Luke Shaw.
He was a key man at Porto and regularly started for them. However, under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Alex has mainly warmed the bench.
The Brazilian has only started six league matches this term and in the last 11 Premier League fixtures, Telles has only made one appearance.
Manchester United have not reinforced the midfield since the summer transfer window of 2018. The last major acquisition in the center of the park was Fred, who was tempted by Mourinho.
Marcelo Brozovic, who helped his country reach the final of the FIFA World Cup in 2018, would be a quality addition.
Not only does he form a solid presence in the middle of the pitch, but the Croatian is also productive in the attack as well.
This term, he has directly contributed in eight goals in all competitions for Inter Milan, so far.
