Atletico Madrid are keen on signing Manchester United’s attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard, according to reports.
The star has returned to the pre-season campaign after failing to make a Premier League appearance under boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last term.
According to 90min.com, Jesse is a summer transfer target for Los Rojiblancos.
He made just three appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils last term before spending the second half of the term on loan at West Ham.
The 28-year-old prospered at the London Stadium, netting nine goals in 16 matches to win the Premier League Player of the Month award for April.
His stunning form saw him named in Gareth Southgate’s provisional England roster for Euro 2020, although Lingard was cut from the final 26.
It’s believed the club are happy to let Lingard quit Old Trafford after agreeing on a deal for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
United allegedly want £25 million for the England international, who has just 12 months remaining on his current deal.
Lingard is said to be keen on moving abroad, following in the footsteps of jadon and his Dortmund team-mate Jude Bellingham.
Diego Simeone’s side could use Kieran Trippier to negotiate a move for Jesse, with United close to finalising a move for the former Tottenham defender.
