According to a recent report from Fichajes, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea will battle it out for the signature of Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho.
The centre-forward has been in the form of his career of late and netted the goal that sent his side to their fifth FA Cup final, during a 1-0 win over Southampton in the semifinal at Wembley.
The report says that the Red Devils may consider a move for Kelechi as it represents a much more affordable option than Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland, who they have also been associated with in recent months.
Edinson Cavani is said to be on the verge of an exit from the club, and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is interested in acquiring attacking reinforcements ahead of next season.
All three sides could therefore be potential buyers for the 24-year-old who, until recently, had been forced to settle for the England international Jamie Vardy’s deputy at the King Power Stadium.
In the latest months, however, the Nigeria attacker has started alongside his teammate and has now netted a staggering 10 goals in his last seven games, including a hat-trick versus Sheffield United and braces against both Manchester United and West Ham United.
