Manchester United have been linked with Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish for a long time and the latest reports are interesting.
As per an exclusive report covered by Mirror Sport, the Aston Villa skipper is now Solskjaer’s No.1 target for the summer because Dortmund are refusing to lower down their £100million asking price for Sancho.
The British media outlet have stated that the decision makers are analyzing whether to make a move worth £80million for the English playmaker, who has been in top form for his boy-hood club this season. It is further mentioned that our Norwegian manager will press to sign him even if Aston Villa save themselves from relegation.
Grealish is not going to come for cheap but he might be a little less costlier than Sancho.
Last month, Mirror Sport exclusively revealed that the Birmingham based club are in no mood of lowering down their asking price of £80million.
The 24-year-old has been Dean Smith’s best player in the current campaign. So far, he has netted 9 goals in all competitions and is the club’s top corer. On the other hand, he is also the best assist provider and has created 8 goals this term.
Last season, Grealish mainly played in the CAM position and helped his team earn qualification to the Premier League. This time around, in the top flight of English football, he has mostly played on the left flank.
It will be interesting to see where he will play if he does move to Old Trafford. Marcus Rashford is our first choice left winger and Bruno Fernandes is our first choice central attacking midfielder and both are absolutely irreplaceable in the starting XI.
The good thing is that Jack Grealish can also pull the strings in the central midfield, an area where we clearly lack quality and depth. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming weeks.
