SURPRISE NEWS: Manchester United boss interested in singing of Inter Milan free-kick specialist

The Turkiye international Hakan Calhanoglu quit AC Milan and signed for Inter Milan as a free agent in 2021.

Prior to joining the Italian champions, the 28-year-old star was linked to then-Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United and reports coming out of the local media had then indicated he had an offer from the Red Devils.

Having operated as the playmaker for I Rossoneri, Hakan has been mainly used in the middle of the park by Simone Inzaghi, where the player managed six goals and eight assists in 22 top-flight matches this season.

These stats seem to have drawn the attention of other sides and among them, there is also, and above all, the English giants, according to InterLive.it.

Ralf Rangnick is their interim manager until the end of this season and will then start the consultant role from the summer.

The German tactician, who knows Calhanoglu from his time in the Bundesliga, could be the very first to push for the purchase of the star in the next window.

It’s said the Premier League outfit could offer a sum around €18-20m for him, but this won’t make I Nerazzurri ‘flinch’ as they aren’t willing to consider proposals below €30m.

The feeling from the report is it is not strong enough and It remains to be seen whether there will be more claims from England and/or Italy discussing Manchester United’s interest in Hakan.
