Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick allegedly wants to bring RB Leipzig defender Nordi Mukiele to Old Trafford this summer.

The 63-year-old tactician is set to move into a consultancy position following the end of the tenure in the dugout, and the expectation is that he’ll have a notable say in future transfers.

Nordi arrived at Die Roten Bullen in the summer transfer window of 2018 and spent one campaign under the German’s tutelage, going on to score 10 goals and lay on eight assists in 135 appearances for his team so far.

Now, a Spanish news outlet Fichajesstates that Rangnick has pinpointed Mukiele as a perfect recruit for a new-look Red Devils side, with Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka jostling for the Frenchman position at present.

Diogo has seemingly displaced Aaron as the club’s first-choice right-back, but the Portugal international is still facing an uncertain future at the Theatre of Dreams with his present contract due to expire in June 2023.

He also has less than a one-and-a-half year left to run on his Red Bull Arena contract and has registered two goals and two assists in 27 matches for the club this season.
