Manchester United are once again linked with Colombian international James Rodriguez and the latest reports are intriguing.

As per an exclusive story recently covered by The Sun, the £250,000-a-week attacker has been offered to Manchester United and Madrid want him off their wage-bill.

On the other hand, according to Mundo Deportivo, the South American attacker is looking to leave Real Madrid for regular football and he has got several options. It is stated that Manchester United are one of the most attractive options.

The famous Spanish outlet have claimed that the Red Devils do not want to splash a huge fee to secure the signing of an attacker, who will turn 29 next month. So, they are looking for a formula to hire him for cheap.

Rodriguez used to be brilliant with Porto and he has mostly performed well for the national side but at the Bernabeu, he has mostly been a bench warmer.

Zidane has always preferred others and therefore, he needs to leave the Spanish giants to progress in his career.

In the current campaign, he has so far started just 8 games in all competitions. Majority of the time, he has either warmed the bench or spent time on the treatment table.

The World Cup 2014 Golden Boot winner is now past his best and Man United should look to sign a proven quality playmaker, who would be able to serve the club in the long run.

However, if someone as experienced as him could be lured for a very low fee or for free (next summer) then Solskjaer should consider luring him.

The 76-capped international’s current contract with the La Liga club will expire next year. In your opinion, should Man United move to sign James Rodriguez this summer.
