AC Milan have been handed the chance to sign centre-half Eric Bailly from Manchester United, a report states.

It seems to be common knowledge that I Rossoneri are in the market for reinforcements in the defence this summer, as they continue to be linked with a host of different centre-back targets.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan have been given the chance to land Bailly from Manchester United by agents.

However, the Ivorian star doesn’t seem to be of interest to the Rossoneri board, who instead look to be focusing on the Serbia international Nikola Milenkovic of league rivals Fiorentina.

Bailly cost United £30 million when he joined from La Liga outfit Villarreal back in 2016, and he has seen his time at Old Trafford so far ruind by injuries.

The 26-year-old star has made 84 appearances for the Red Devils since his arrival four seasons ago, but it seems like his time may be drawing to a close.

Elsewhere, Manchester United were allegedly interested in signing Nathan Ake before Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City completed a deal for the Dutchman.

City announced on Wednesday that they had purchased the central defender from Bournemouth in a £41 million deal.

United were linked with the star before he officially joined their city rivals, and according to Sky Sports News, United were interested in a move.

The report, though, states that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were ultimately priced out of a deal as the club continue to put the majority of their efforts into attempting to land Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
