In spite of the big news in Argentina saying a couple of local teams could soon be signing shot-stopper Sergio Romero from Manchester United, Argentine media source TN taking things easier.

Even though the player has Juan Antonio Pizzi’s Racing Club and Miguel Angel Russo’s Boca Juniors as two options for his future, Sergio should actually wait for proposals from Europe before taking any decisions.

Sergio Romero’s contract with the Red Devils expires in the summer, and there is no expectation he could extend his deal with the Old Trafford side.

That is why his arrival is possible for the Argentine outfits. Racing have his affection for being his former team, as the club president confirmed the interest last week.

Meanwhile, Boca Juniors see the 34-year-old as a possible replacement for towering keeper Esteban Andrada.

They are interested in continuing to build a strong roster to have a shot at the Copa Libertadores title.

Sergio is one of the targets on the front page of the South American newspaper Ole as well.

He’s named alongside Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira and another Uruguayan star Edinson Cavani as some of the players who could soon be arriving at the La Bombonera outfit.
