The agent of Manchester United target Philippe Coutinho has revealed the midfielders desire to make a Premier League return.

Coutinho moved to Barcelona just a few seasons ago after making a big impression while in the Premier League and Liverpool, becoming one of the nest number 10’s in the game.

He was expected to make that move to the Camp Nou and develop into a real superstar, but for some unknown reasons, he failed to reach the levels at Barcelona that he did at Liverpool and was eventually shipped off to Bayern Munich for two seasons.

But despite a couple of solid seasons over in the Bundesliga, the German giants opted against making his move to the Allianz arena a permanent one and he will be offered to a number of clubs in the summer window.

Manchester United are keen on a deal for the former Liverpool ace, and Express Sport understand they will have little competition due to the wages and loan fee he would require.

Now, amid all the speculation, his agent Kia Joorabchian has made it clear the South American wants to return to the Premier League.

He told Sky Sports: “Everything is a possibility. After the Champions League game he played in England [against Chelsea] we had a long chat about it.

“The Premier League is something that he has always enjoyed playing in, and loved playing in, and would probably love to come back and play in.

“The question is what are going to be the financial conditions of all the clubs, including Barcelona and all the Premier League clubs at the end of this pandemic.”

Manchester United are in need of adding some world class players and if they are to get back to the very top of the game, they need to try and sign players like Coutinho when they come onto the transfer market, they would be fools not too.

And getting him on a loan deal to see if he is still good enough could be a very smart move to make…
