As per reports going on in the media, Manchester United seem seriously interested in hiring the services of Valencia playmaker Ferran Torres.

According to Marca, several clubs like Liverpool, Juve, Real, Barca and Dortmund are looking to lure the highly rated winger. However, the Spanish source have stated that Man Utd have already moved for the 20-year-old and are best placed to secure his signing.

On the other hand, as per The Athletic, Man United are considering making a move worth £87million in order to agree the deal by activating the release clause.

The youngster’s current contract with the Spanish side will expire in 2021, so, in all fairness, it will be surprising to see us splash 100 million euros to sign him, especially when Dortmund are looking to just offer 40 million euros to somehow secure his signature (Marca).

Torres has progressed well over the years and has already won two major trophies for Spain’s youth teams. If he continues to improve then it will not be shocking to see him in action for the senior national side.

In the current campaign, so far, in 25 La Liga outings, he has directly contributed in 8 goals (4 goals and 4 assists). He also scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in 6 Champions League fixtures this term.

The Spanish U-21 starlet is mainly a winger, who is mostly deployed on the right flank. At Old Trafford, Daniel James is our first choice right winger.

The Welsh international scored 3 PL goals in August 2019 for United but since then, he has been unable to find the net in the league.
