Man United prepared to agree £100,000-a-week terms to sign £15million star – Report

Manchester United sold Romelu Lukaku last summer and have not adequately replaced him as yet. Instead, Solskjaer has used Martial, a natural winger, in the CF role.

The Belgian international was highly inconsistent for us but he is a goal-scorer with a proven track record and has performed well since joining Inter Milan last year.

In the winter transfer window, the Red Devils hired the services of Odion Ighalo on loan from Shanghai and the former Watford player has so far proved to be a hit at Old Trafford.

Since joining the 20-time English champions, the Nigerian international has only started three times in all competitions but has managed to score four goals and provide one assist as well.

In such a scenario, United are looking to make his loan deal permanent and reports suggest (The Star) that the Red Devils are only prepared to agree terms worth £100,000-a-week to seal the signing of the star, who currently earns £300,000-a-week.

The African star has not scored in the Premier League as yet but it must be taken into consideration that he has only played for 30 minute in four league appearances under Solskjaer.

For Ighalo, it was a dream come true to join Manchester United but would he be willing to take a massive pay cut to make his move permanent even when he is the second choice striker.

As far as the transfer fee is concerned, last month, The Mail revealed that Shanghai want £15million from the sale of the 30-year-old star.

Man Utd were interested in signing Erling Haaland in January but could only lure the 35-capped Nigerian. In my view, they should move to sign a world class center forward in the summer to have any chance of challenging Liverpool and Man City for the title.
