Manchester United are reportedly considering offering Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea to Atletico Madrid as part of a bid for Slovenian stopper Jan Oblak.
The 20-times English champions are believed to be keen to sign a new goalkeeper during this summer’s transfer window, with De Gea’s future at Old Trafford currently being called into question.
Dean Henderson has recently impressed during the injury of David de Gea, there are allegedly fears that the England international is not currently ready to be the teams number one.
Oblak has recently been rumoured with a move to the Red Devils and according to Todofichajes, the Slovenia international is ready to seek pastures new in the upcoming market.
The report suggests that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are planing to offer De Gea and a ‘high sum’ to the La Liga giants in the hope of convincing them to sell Jan Oblak who has £103m release clause in his current deal.
De Gea, who recently returned to Spain for the birth of his first child, came through the youth system at Atletico Madrid and went on to represent their first team on 84 times before arriving in Manchester.
Oblak has again been in stunning form for Diego Simeone’s side this season, keeping 15 clean sheets in 35 games in all competitions, conceding just 29 times in the process.
