Manchester United have reportedly agreed on a deal to secure services of Real Madrid defender Alvaro Fernandez.
The 17-year-old wonderkid who primarily operates as a left-back, is available on a free transfer during the summer transfer window, having turned down the chance to extend his stay at Santiago Bernabeu.
According to AS, Fernandez is heading for Old Trafford, with the Red Devils agreeing a four-year contract with the Spanish centre-back, who joined the Los Blancos from Deportivo La Coruna back in 2017.
The teenager is likely to represent the Red Devils Under-18 side next campaign with the view to progressing to the Under-23s and ultimately the first team.
Luke Shaw is currently the 20-times English champions first-choice left-back, while Brandon Williams has impressively made the step up from the academy to become a serious challenger in that position of the field, although both players are currently on the sidelines due to the knee injury.
Barcelona are believed to have been interested in securing the talented Spaniard before he choose to join Real Madrid.
Mason Greenwood, Brandon Williams and Scott McTominacy have all been handed chance to impress under Ole Gunner Solskajer and Fermamdez could be next if he agrees to join the Red Devils.
