English Premier League outfit Man United seem to be taking their time as they have not completed any major deal this summer transfer window despite being linked with a few names.
The move for major target and England international Jadon Sancho has now hit the rock which makes the Red Devils search for other alternatives to be able to equip the team ahead of the next season.
Reports claim that the Red Devils are considering the option of Ajax star Donny van de Beek and Memphis Depay and are willing to splash £81 million to land them.
Donny van de Beek is also wanted at the Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona but he is keen on a move to the English Premier League which leaves the Red Devils as favourites in the race.
It is also understood that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Donny van de Beek to form a midfield partnership with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes as he is believed to be available for a fee of £45 million.
Meanwhile, Memphis Depay could be set for a shock return to the Old Trafford after the first spell from 2015 to 2017 that was not successful before he left to join French Ligue 1 club Lyon.Timothy Aiyeku is a Mass Communication graduate from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
