Manchester United have reportedly joined their Premier League rivals Chelsea in the race to sign out-of-favour Barcelona playmaker Miralem Pjanic.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international midfielder has only played a bit-part role under Koeman last season and is believed to depart from the club this summer given the Blaugrana’s desperate need to raise funds.

Chelsea and Tottenham are believed to be going head-to-head for the services of Pjanic, and the Lilywhites have supposedly made contact over a potential switch in the summer.

However, Marca claims that both Man United and the Bosnian midfielder’s ex-club Juventus are in the hunt for his signature, with the Old Lady now back under the tutelage of Massimiliano Allegri, who Pjanic thrived under.

The report goes on to say that former Juve midfielder has been given permission to depart from the club and is not in Koeman’s plans for the 2021-22 campaign, however, he is in no rush to decide his future before pre-season training begins.
