Serie A giants AS Roma, Inter Milan and Juventus are reportedly interested in landing Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata.

The Spanish attacking midfielder’s contract at the Old Trafford outfit is set to expire at the end of the campaign.

According to The Sun, the three sides are monitoring his current contract situation at Manchester United.

The board are unlikely to offer the playmaker a new deal, and he will certainly leave the club this summer.

Manchester United purchased Juan Mata from Chelsea in the January transfer market of 2014.

He has made 267 appearances for the 20-time English champions in his seven years with the club and has netted 50 goals.

He is a fan-favorite at Old Trafford, helping the Red Devils win an FA Cup, an EFL Cup and a UEFA Europa League title.

However, Mata has seen his playing time diminish in the latest years.

The 32-year-old midfielder was forced to accept a bit-part role in the team and has mainly featured in cup competitions and the UEL.

Juan Mata is likely to leave United as the club hierarchy are allegedly looking to let him leave rather than trigger a one-year extension in his contract.

He is said to be open to a fresh challenge as he approaches the final stages of his professional career and could be enticed by a transfer to Italy.

The Nerazzurri, Giallorossi and Bianconeri have become common destinations for ex-Premier League stars in recent years.

The Serie A heavyweights have registered an interest in him and are hoping to sign Juan as a free agent this summer.
