United chiefs are hoping they can secure Sancho for a cut-price fee. The club believe his value could be halved, with the Reds feeling they can sign the superstar for just £52m due to the global pandemic.
Borussia Dortmund are said to want over £100m for their prized asset, with the two club’s currently some way apart in regards to agreeing a fee. However, United believe they can get the better end of the deal due to COVID-19.
Look, you don’t need me to tell you how good Sancho is. Look at his numbers, his development and his aura, this is a proper football player who is only going to improve over time.
The young man scores, assists and is an overall threat. Imagine him in a front three with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford? With Bruno Fernandes just in behind, that’s a front four that can go toe-to-toe with the best in the world right there.
Perhaps United can use COVID-19 to their advantage, but I’d doubt Dortmund will need the money that badly as to half Sancho’s transfer value. I would guess there would be several other interested parties if that was the case…
