Donny van de Beek’s agent is ‘not worried’ about his client’s future, amid transfer interest from Man United and Real Madrid. The Netherlands international was believed to be a top summer target for both European giants, with the Eredivisie giants set to sell.

However, despite the financial uncertainty surrounding football as a result of the covid pandemic, his transfer has been thrown into doubt. But Donny’s agent Guido Albers is confident that there will still be options available to van de Beek as he considers the next step in his career.

‘There is interest, and that is also known for a long time and from several teams. We will see what will eventually come out of that in the coming weeks,’ Albers said. ‘I do not dare say anything about that now. I can’t say anything about it because some things are only confidential.

The situation will have changed in each team, and we have to seem at that. The positive thing for van de Beek is that he is still perfect everywhere. For van de Beek, the most important thing is and he has always said a choice based on his feeling.

‘That which he thinks suits him best and which Donny thinks will be the most successful. Donny did that last year and will continue to do so this year. Don’t forget that Ajax is still the team where he came to as a youngster.’

Albers praised the Dutch club for how they’ve conducted business with his client and doesn’t expect them to stand in the way of Donny moving on at a fair price.
