Manchester United have been linked with Saul Niguez for a long time and the latest reports suggest that the Red Devils could finally seal his signing for a cut price.

On April 21, Marca revealed that Atletico Madrid will ask Man United to activate the release clause of 150 million euros in order to sign the Spanish midfielder. The renowned outlet indicated the Rojiblancos would not offer any sort of discount.

More recently, AS have covered a story and claimed that the La Liga club have suffered financially mainly due to the corona virus outbreak and the budget will take another hit if they fail to qualify for the next season’s Champions League.

The Spanish source (via Sport Witness) have mentioned that in such a crisis scenario, Diego Simeone would have to sell some stars to stabilize the financial situation and Saul Niguez’s name is in the lime light. AS claim that Atletico could be forced to sell their prized asset to Man United for just 75 million euros (£65million).

The 25-year-old is one of the best and the most complete midfielders around. He can play anywhere in the center of the park and has been highly consistent for the Rojiblancos over the years.

If such a world class talent is available for just £65million then Man United must not wait and Solskjaer should act swiftly to seal his signing as soon as possible.

The Norwegian manager has failed to strengthen the midfield department since he became the head coach of the Red Devils. In fact, with him in charge, the department has offloaded midfielders like Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini. We have not replaced the duo as yet.

With Matic past his best and Pogba an injury prone inconsistent player, the midfield must be improved at all costs in the summer transfer window. In your view, should Man United splash £65million to seal the signing of Saul Niguez?
