As per reports going on in the media, Manchester United seem seriously interested in hiring the services of Kai Havertz in the summer transfer window.

On 22nd May, The Sun revealed that the Red Devils want to lure the German international, who could be bought for a fee of £70million from Bayer Leverkusen.

Yesterday, the renowned British source covered another exclusive story and this time, they have claimed that Man United are favorites to agree the signing of the 20-year-old attacking midfielder.

It is stated that the Old Trafford club want to act swiftly to secure the 7-capped international, whose market value will only go up. Therefore, United are expected to move in with an initial offer of £50million, however, they may need to pay more to get his signing done.

Havertz is naturally a CAM but this season, he has mainly excelled while playing in other offensive positions i.e. RW and CF.

As a right winger, he has featured in 10 games in all competitions and directly contributed in as many goals (5 goals and 5 assists).

On the other hand, as a center forward, he has made 7 appearances, scored 7 goals and also provided an assist for Leverkusen (Transfermarkt).

On Friday night, the young star scored the winning goal for his team away from home against SC Freiburg.

Man United have not been productive in front of goal this season. In all fairness, the PL giants lack quality and depth in the strike-force and also, Solskjaer does not have a proven quality right winger. Unfortunately, Daniel James has been highly inconsistent since joining the Red Devils last summer.

Therefore, the offensive department must be reinforced and Kai Havertz would be a top addition. Would Solskjaer be able to agree his signing in the summer? We shall see.
