Manchester United have been linked with several strikers and the latest name in the lime light is that of Patson Daka.According to a report covered by The Sun, Man United are ready to snap up the Zambian international from RB Salzburg after missing out on Haaland, who opted to join Dortmund in the winter transfer window.

The renowned British news source have mentioned that the 21-year-old could cost over £20million.

Daka has won every major domestic prize in Austria and he was in top form last term under the management of Jesse Marsch (Transfermarkt).

He featured in 45 games in all competitions and directly contributed in 39 goals (27 goals and 12 assists).

For his country, back in 2017, he was a key member of the squad that won the U-20 African Cup of Nations. The forward netted 4 goals and provided an assist in five appearances in the competition.

For the senior Zambia side, so far, the youngster has featured in 18 games and scored 2 goals.

In a recent friendly contest against Premier League champions Liverpool, Daka scored two goals inside the first 15 minutes of the contest.

At Old Trafford, we do lack quality and depth in our strike-force. We have not replaced Romelu Lukaku, who scored week in week out for Inter Milan in the last campaign.

Instead, Solskjaer has preferred Martial in the No.9 role but the French international is not and out and out center forward. We need a proven quality natural goalscorer, someone, who would be able to score at least 20 goals in the PL. Otherwise, we won’t be able to challenge for the PL title next term.

In your view, should Man United splash £20million+ to agree the signing of Patson Daka from Salzburg?
