Man United in talks to sign Kingsley Coman – Are they right in signing him?

The Daily Mail (h/t The Athletic) have reported that Manchester United are looking to enter the discussions over a possible deal for Kingsley Coman.

Coman is one of the brightest prospects in European football and has already represented the giants of Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich’s stature. The 24-year-old has been key for the Bavarians and played his part in their Bundesliga success in recent years.

A move to the Premier League could be a great challenge to the Frenchman. With United having qualified for the Champions League, they should find it relatively easier to convince him to make that switch to Manchester.

Kingsley Coman began his career as a youth player for Paris Saint-Germain and then moved to Juventus in 2014. He went on a two-year loan spell to Bayern Munich and then made his move into a permanent one.

A natural left-winger, Coman can play on the right flank and also as a second-striker. His versatility can be a huge added advantage and offer the manager a lot of options to choose from.

With Manchester United front four in tremendous form, Coman would easily help the likes of Bruno Fernades, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood, and would also add good competition to the squad.

Coman is known for his extraordinary pace and would add quality to United’s attacking ranks. The player can turn out to be a key member given his huge potential, as Manchester United aim to rebuild themselves under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The 24-year-old has a long career ahead of him and moving to Manchester United could help him develop into a complete player. His track record has been fabulous and he could help them achieve more.

Coman can definitely have a long-term career at Old Trafford and his inclusion would certainly bring healthy competition and some much-needed depth. Manchester United fans might be a little concerned to hear that Coman’s injury record isn’t the best. But the player has all the ability to excel at the top level.
