Manchester United have reportedly expressed strong interest in securing the services of Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The England international’s goalscoring prowess this campaign is well-documented, with Calvert-Lewin scored 11 goals in 14 Premier League games for the impressive Toffees.
Only Liverpool’s superstar Mohamed Salah has struck more times in the top flight than Calvert-Lewin this campaign, and the Merseyside Reds striker is already being rumoured with a move to a top European team.
According to The Athletic, the Red Devils are ready to swoop for Calvert-Lewin after hitting a roadblock in their pursuit of Erling Braut Haaland, with their agent Mino Raiola complicating matters over a deal for the Borussia Dortmund man.
As a result, the Red Devils have supposedly turned their attentions to Calvert-Lewin, however, the report claims that it would take a bid of £75m for Everton to even consider a sale, and Toffees head-coach Carlo Ancelotti is strongly against letting the 23-year-old depart from the club in the nearby future.
Calvert-Lewin is under contract at Goodison Park until 2025, having recently signed a new deal and it seems unlikely to departing from the club for direct Premier League rivals.
