If reports in the media are anything to go by then very recently, Man United have made contact to steal the signing of Lille forward Victor Osimhen, who is heavily linked with a move to Napoli.

Ciro Venerato spoke to CalcioNapoli24 and revealed that the Nigerian striker hired a new agent because he wants to secure a move to the Premier League and his old representative failed to fulfill his wish.

The Italian journalist stated that recently, Man United have called the forward’s new agent to inquire whether he has signed for the Naples based club or not.

Venerato claims that Napoli are pushing to seal the signing but the player is more interested in moving to the Premier League and Man United have the economic power to hire his services.

The player has told his new representative to either take him to England or get him more money from Napoli.

Will United make an offer for the youngster? We shall see. As far as the price tag is concerned, Lille want around 60 million euros (£54million) from the sale of the 21-year-old striker (La Gazzetta Dello Sport via Paisley Gates).

At Old Trafford, Anthony Martial has been in world class form since the resumption of the Premier League last month. However, Solksjaer still needs to replace Romelu Lukaku and therefore, a center forward should be lured in the summer.

Osimhen has been in top form for the French club this season and he is already a senior player for Nigeria.

The 8-capped international started 33 games in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side in the 2019-20 season and directly contributed in 24 goals (18 goals and 4 assists).

In your view, should Man United splash £54million to steal the signing of the starlet, who won the African Youth Player of the Year prize in 2015?
